I’m running for re-election to Santa Ana City Council to keep delivering results for residents.

Now more than ever, we must keep working to strengthen the quality of life for all of Santa Ana’s neighborhoods.”

ABOUT MAYOR PRO TEM JESSIE LOPEZ

Born and raised in Santa Ana, Jessie Lopez is a daughter of immigrants who has devoted her life to serving the Santa Ana community. A proud graduate of SAUSD schools, Jessie became the first in her family to graduate college and worked as many as two jobs to afford school.

In 2020, Jessie earned the support of her neighbors and was elected to serve Ward 3 on the Santa Ana City Council. As city councilmember and Mayor Pro Tem, Jessie has delivered results that put our community first.

  • Improving Quality of Life — Jessie has worked hard to bring much-needed renovation and repairs to our city parks and streets while securing funding for new youth programs.

  • Prioritizing Public Safety — Jessie supports investing in safety programs that uplift our community while ensuring the hardworking people who keep our streets safe have the resources they need to do their job. That’s why she voted to approve the city’s budget to expand the number of officers from 376 to 400, and she’s advocated for police oversight to increase accountability.

  • Fighting Environmental Injustice — Jessie is a climate champion and knows that we must take action now to address this crisis. Because of her leadership, Santa Ana is updating and improving its Climate Action Plan, and now there is funding for the new role of an Environmental Justice Coordinator.

  • Making Housing Affordable and Preventing Homelessness — Jessie supported investing $24 million towards affordable housing, and she’s led efforts to hire more social workers for homeless outreach services, increase shelter for veterans, and expand resources outside of Santa Ana.
